Riding to Lose

Living on the East Coast, and having a pretty nice sizeable farm, I am able to ride out for miles. However, I do enjoy working with the horses in the ring, to see what they know, and what they are capable of. I do strongly believe in ring work.  It's a bonding experience for horse and rider...and most importantly builds confidence in both.

Horses are beautiful, intellegent creatures. If you've never taken a horseback ride before, it may be something to add to your 2013 list of goals.  Riding is a great work out, and humbling if you happen to be atop a schooling master (a horse trained well enough to help in training the rider.)  Riding is also a great way to tone the inner thighs, calves and arms.  If you think you're already fit, just put on a pair of those riding pants (breeches).  Talk about sausage skins....and yet I wouldn't ride in anything else.

My Name is Hawks Hollow Lady

My name is Hawks Hollow Lady. I live on a farm. When I'm not busying myself with house chores, running my childrens lives, and wining (that's what my man calls it), I'm usually "snacking".  Snacking to me can be anything from a 12 inch sub, to a whole tub of cookies. However, my weekness are salty, kettle cooked, chips.  

It is just after Christmas 2012.  One of  my goals for 2013 is to obtain my healthy weight. I decided that if I shared my desire to lose weight with the world, than maybe I might just stick to my new healthy eating plan. I should also say that I am not obese...at least not yet.  I just want to firm up a bit, and lose the extra stuff around the middle, and even though I am happy to have some pretty sizeable gazoombas for the first time in my life, ...it's probably a good thing to tone those puppies down as well.

The second, and more obtainable goal I've set for myself, is to record a song that I wrote for Ocean City, Maryland.  This- I have no clue how to do.  I'm thinking that I might solicit some young girl singers. Phone record the song, post it to Utube, and send it to the Mayor of O.C. Well...that's the plan anyway.  And again....I have no experience doing this kind of thing, so I'll be blogging about every attempt made to make this happen.  Wish me luck!!
